Guernsey Cricket is delighted to announce the launch of the Clicksmith Boundary Breakers Summer League for Under 7 and Under 9 players – a brand-new, inclusive cricket programme designed to introduce the youngest age groups to the sport in a fun, friendly, and safe environment.
The summer league, proudly sponsored by Clicksmith, will run weekly from Friday 6 June to Friday 1 August 2025, taking place from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at College Field. Open to all children in the U7 and U9 age groups, the initiative offers a fantastic opportunity for early cricketing experiences through engaging matches, skill-building, and teamwork.
“This is about breaking boundaries – not just in the sporting sense, but in creating access and opportunity,” said Richard Headington, Chief Operating Officer of Guernsey Cricket. “We’re grateful to Clicksmith for their generous support, which allows us to provide a top-quality experience for children and their families at no cost to participants.”
The Clicksmith Boundary Breakers League focuses on participation over competition, with simplified scoring, no league tables, and an emphasis on enjoyment, confidence-building, and learning. Each session will be supported by a committed team of volunteer coaches, youth helpers, and safeguarding officers, with structured training and DBS compliance in place.
The programme has been carefully planned to include:
Structured games and soft ball activities
Coach training and youth volunteer involvement
Clear safeguarding and first aid protocols
Weekly updates and family-friendly communication
A season-end celebration event
The sponsorship agreement with Clicksmith ensures that the brand will be featured prominently throughout the league’s delivery, including on kit and equipment, in media coverage, and at events.
“Clicksmith is thrilled to be the title sponsor of the Boundary Breakers,” said George Bett, Managing Director of Clicksmith. “We’re passionate about grassroots sport and proud to support an initiative that’s all about energy, positivity, and giving kids a great start in cricket.”
Guernsey Cricket encourages families to come down, watch, and get involved — whether it’s volunteering, scoring, or simply enjoying the community spirit on a summer evening at College Field.
