Interim Chief Executive 

Carl was appointed as interim Chief Executive for an initial six-month period in October 2023.  His short-term brief includes continuing the strong representation of Guernsey’s international cricket interests, including effective working with the ICC, and reviewing the Guernsey Cricket operating model and future role of the Chief Exec. 

 

Carl, who has an MBA from Cardiff Business School has spent the last forty years working in and around the public sector, including most recently with the States of Guernsey.  Carl played cricket in south Wales for many years, latterly for Vale Cricket Club where he was part of the leadership team that made the Club a Community Interest Company.

Director of Cricket

Jeremy is responsible for overseeing the pathway from junior domestic cricket in to the senior representative teams, whilst also being National Coach to the senior men’s team. 

 

Originally from Romsey he grew up playing county age group cricket for Hampshire and NAYC (England) U19’s, going on to represent his home county in 2nd XI cricket and later Gloucestershire. Having moved to Guernsey he became part of a number of successful Guernsey teams at Inter Insular and International level. 

 

Jeremy has been coaching cricket since the age of 16 and involved in the development of cricket in Guernsey since moving to the Island in 2001. He ran the Dummer Cricket Centre for three years, coached district and county age groups and has experience of coaching cricket across a wide range of both state and private schools in the UK and overseas. He is also an ECB coach developer. 

 

In his full time work he is a director at the Guernsey Sports Commission and an Education Development Officer with the States of Guernsey.

Player Development
Manager & 
Pathway Lead

Following on from 4 years in post as Cricket Development Manager Ben is now responsible for Under 11 - 19 representative programme, The Emerging Players programme and also Head Coach of the Womens National Team.

Ben is a ECB Level 3 coach and has a degree in Sports Development, Coaching and Applied Sports Exercise Studies. Ben is also 1 of 2 ECB Tutors and responsible for the delivery of Coach Education within Guernsey.

Ben has an extensive background in Guernsey Cricket having been a member of the Guernsey National Team since 2005 until present playing over 90 ICC games and becoming the most capped player in Guernsey International Cricket.

Cricket Development
Manager

Lee has recently been appointed Guernsey Cricket Development Manager. A certified accountant by profession, Lee joined Guernsey Cricket in 2019  and has worked across our pathways including the national Men's and Women's sides.

Lee has completed both his Multi Sport and EBC Level 2 coaching qualification. He is currently completing his ECB Level 3 Advanced Coach qualification. He is an ICC coach developer and enjoys working with fast bowlers across the programme. Lee plays cricket in Guernsey as a seam bowler for Irregulars alongside his sons Charlie and Fred.

Cricket Operations
Manager

Nikki was appointed in April 2023 to coordinate and administer the Pathway and High Performance programmes within Guernsey Cricket.

Nikki, who has qualifications in Sport and Exercise Science, Project Management and a background of 16 years in high performance sport, brings to Guernsey Cricket her knowledge of player physical and mental health. 

She believes in a holistic approach to learning, recognising that successful performance is not only about athletic ability.

Nikki is passionate about the

development of women in sport and  spent the 2023 cricket season coaching the Women's National Squad, focusing on individual players strength, conditioning, physical mobility and mindset.
