Chief Executive & Director of Cricket

On the 31st of January 2009 Mark was appointed as full time Chief Executive for Guernsey Cricket after a 23-year career in banking. This was a requirement that was required when the island gained associate membership to the ICC. 


Mark was previously involved within the Guernsey cricket Association as Secretary and President. Mark is responsible for pretty much everything cricket on the Island from appointments to organising fixtures.

Development Manager

Appointed in January 2019 superseding his National squad teammate David Hooper, Ben is responsible for the managing and coaching of all junior programmes.

Along with his university degree in Sports Development and Coaching and Applied Sports Exercise Studies, Ben is an ECB Level 3 coach has recently completed his ECB Coach Developer/tutor qualification.

Ben has been a member of the Guernsey first team since 2005. He has competed in every World Cricket League competition for Guernsey and is a key member of the current first team squad.

Lee.jpg
Development Officer

A certified accountant by profession, Lee has recently swapped debits and credits for bat and ball to assist us with the cricket in schools’ programme. Lee also works with the development sides, the girls cricket team and coaches the Wanderers Irregular youth section. 

Lee has completed both his Multi Sport and Cricket Level 2 coaching qualifications. He is currently taking his ECB Level 3 Advanced Coach qualification to further his coaching knowledge. Lee has been playing cricket in Guernsey since moving to the island in 2004 as a seam bowler for Irregulars.

Outside of cricket, Lee is a FA level 1 qualified and coaches youth football.

Hannah.jpg
Women & Girls Development Officer

First appointed in 2007 Hannah delivered school sessions and GCB representative squad sessions for 3 years before studying a degree is Sport and Social Sciences. Her subsequent Postgraduate Diploma in Criminology sent her down a different career path and she has spent the last 7 years serving in the Guernsey Police.

 

Hannah has extensive knowledge in relation to cricket having been involved in both the Sussex and Somerset County programmes. She is currently the Guernsey Ladies Captain and is a Level 2 cricket coach. Hannah is also involved with the Cobo CC junior programme and plays for St Saviours CC and Irregulars CC locally.

 

Her focus is women and girls cricket and increasing participation across all age groups and backgrounds.

 

Hannah splits her time between Guernsey Cricket and Bailiwick Social Prescribing where she has been recently appointed as a Link Worker. She has a passion for working in the community and is keen to explore how Guernsey Cricket can play a collaborative part in improving health and wellbeing in the Island.

Community Coach

Fully appointed in December 2019, Dec is currently completing his ECB level 2 coaching badge. Dec is responsible for the delivery of coaching sessions in primary and secondary schools. Dec is also part of the Cobo Cricket Club junior coaching programme. 

Dec has been a member of the Guernsey national squad since 2017.

He has played locally, in England (Lindfield CC) and also a season as an overseas for Greta CC in Victoria, Australia where he enjoyed success by winning the T20 Grand Final.
