Guernsey Cricket is pleased to share a further update on its new partnership with professional services firm Mourant, who have come on board as title partner of the Mourant Guernsey Junior Cricket Leagues.

Following the initial announcement, the partnership has now been formally brought to life through a series of launch images and video, with young players proudly wearing Mourant-branded kit alongside John Lewis, Managing Partner of Mourant Guernsey, and Ilze Van Der Westhuizen, Cricket Development Manager at Guernsey Cricket.
Captured at the heart of the island’s cricketing community, the images reflect both the strength of the partnership and the spirit of the Junior Leagues - from proud young players standing alongside the Mourant branding to a joyful celebratory moment that highlights the fun, inclusive nature of the programme.
The Mourant Junior Leagues form a vital part of Guernsey Cricket’s player pathway, providing structured and competitive opportunities for boys and girls across multiple age groups. With participation continuing to grow, the leagues play a key role in developing skills, confidence and a lifelong love of the game.
Richard Headington, Chief Operating Officer of Guernsey Cricket, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Mourant as title partner of our Junior Leagues. Their support is a major boost for grassroots cricket in Guernsey and demonstrates a genuine commitment to investing in young people and community sport. Our junior structure is central to the long-term health of cricket on the island, and this partnership will enable us to enhance the experience for players, volunteers and clubs alike.”
John Lewis, Managing Partner – Guernsey at Mourant, added:
“We are proud to support Guernsey Cricket and the development of young players through the Mourant Junior Leagues. Community engagement and creating opportunities for young people are central to our values, and we are pleased to be contributing to a programme that encourages teamwork, resilience and enjoyment through sport.”
The 2026 season will see hundreds of young cricketers representing clubs across Guernsey, supported by volunteer coaches, umpires and administrators. The partnership will help enhance league delivery, support volunteer development and strengthen the overall junior cricket framework.

With the countdown now underway to the start of the 2026 season, excitement is building for another fantastic summer of junior cricket, with dozens of young players set to represent clubs across the island.
Registration for the 2026 season remains open, and Guernsey Cricket is encouraging families to get involved, whether as players, volunteers or supporters.
