As the glorious summer sets on another cricket season Guernsey Cricket and Blue Islands are already in discussion over travel needs for 2019.

This summer Blue Islands helped get Guernsey Under 15 cricketers to Jersey for their Inter Insular as well as the seven teams in the PraxisIFM CI League to compete pan-island. This season also saw the first T20 Tri-Series format for the InfrasoftTech Inter Insular Trophy the logistics for which demanded some flexibility on flight timings, which Blue Islands met without issue. In all, well over 350 seats were taken up between June and August, ensuring cricket could happen home and away.

Mark Latter Guernsey Cricket CEO said: “getting players from A to B with the minimum fuss ensures we can take up competition opportunities here and into Jersey and the UK. Once again this summer Blue Islands have helped us get the game on.”

Tom Barrasin, Blue Islands Chief Commercial Officer added: “Blue Islands proudly supports Channel Islands sport and is delighted to have been chosen by Guernsey Cricket to fulfil its travel needs. Our dedicated group travel team work tirelessly to make what are sometimes complex team travel requirements a seamless booking experience for our customers. We look forward to working with Guernsey Cricket for the 2019 season.”

Players representing some of the local Clubs and Guernsey Representative sides who travelled with Blue Islands were invited air-side last week to meet Blue Islands staff and get a photo from the day.
