The Association has established itself over the years as an important part of the local cricket scene. We officiate in as many games as we can but we want to do more, and are always on the lookout for anyone wishing to be involved.

No formal qualifications are necessary to umpire in local leagues, just a good understanding of the game. Remember, umpiring gives you the best seat in the house and is the ideal way to prolong your involvement in the middle, long after you are able to sprint around the outfield!

We now have six members to GL4 standard which means all the theory examinations have been passed. All six are awaiting their ACU&S upgrade to full umpire status. We have one other candidate who successfully passed GL5 this spring and will gain GL4 during the close season. We have already received appointments for four members to officiate in this years ECC age group competitions. This is the door to officiating at whatever level you wish to take it.....Minor County, County, Test, ICC, all are possible if you want to give the time and effort.
