Cricket Guernsey Child Protection
The GCA and GCB have voluntarily adopted as best practice the ECB Child Protection Policy guidelines. The adoption of a child protection policy is also a requirement of the States of Guernsey.
This policy, "Safe Hands, the welfare of young people in cricket" is available online at www.play-cricket.com.
It will be important to note that Club Officials who are team managers and are in regular contact with young cricketers under the age of 18 and/or vulnerable young adults must complete a full CRB check. Those "volunteers" who are only occasionally in contact with young cricketers or vulnerable young adults must complete a self-declaration form.
These are available from the appointed Child Protection Officer for the CICB (Guernsey). Please email mkinder@elizcoll.org to request a self-declaration form or to receive more information.
Please treat this matter with some urgency.
