The weather is trying to better us but I know we are stronger.......an hour stood in the teeth of a howling gale at MdeC whilst it p's down is character building !!!
T20 is here !!!!
Fixtures for next week can be found in Handbook (only change is re-arranged ELC5 game on Monday 2 June at MC2) and on website.
Re-arrangements affecting ELC3 also now made (guys a big thank you for your patience and understanding) SEE WEBSITE AND 10 JUNE - note the name of the missing umpire will be Mr Muggins !!!
Fixtures for second part of ELC series will start to appear on website at weekend so keep an eye out.
Rules for T20 in all the usual places so skippers some weekend reading !!
Remember 20 overs and 4 bowlers across all 5 EL's, each plays the other side once and League will appear as if by magic across the website with NRR to sort out the nitty gritty.
Awards night is Friday 31 October at The Farmhouse so get it the diary now...usual special guest speakers - plenty of Essex boys left !!! On which subject the greatest of them all Graham Gooch is in Guernsey on 2 October at the Lord Taverners Dinner at St Pierre Park (along with the players from Warwickshire and Notts) - details from me regards tables and booking GET IN EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT !!
If any Club (or group of players) wish to enter a team in the Lord Taverners 6 a Side Cricket Tournament on 2 Oct at Port Soif let me know ASAP - cost is £900 and covers breakfast, lunch, a day of cricket and a table at the evening dinner plus a professional cricketer in your side - have a word with your sponsor and let me know.
Inter Insular is 9 August and usual booking of a ferry to conquer the other Island will take place...WATCH THIS SPACE (indications of likely numbers as soon as would be good)
