In addition the site acts as the definitive source for fixtures across the competitions locally including the fixtures of all the age group Island sides and GICC.

Our highly respected GCB Junior Development Scheme, under the control of Jason Shambrook and Hannah Mechem run sessions for various separate age groups all year round, starting at year 3 running through to year 11. In all, over 1200 children feature in sessions run by the development officers throughout the year. Cricket is in a boom phase on the Island, with further development work starting up through both girls schools, and the disabled groups. We already have more teams than the whole of Kenya and almost three times the number of registered players in Namibia, two countries who played in the World Cup. It is our sincere hope and intention in the next ten years to not only be competing against these sides in the ICC World Cup but also beating them!
This year the Senior Island Squad will be competing on home soil in the ICC European Division Two Championship from 13 July to 19 July. GCB has the honour to be welcoming to the Island the national teams of France, Germany, Gibraltar, Israel and Norway to compete against Guernsey at KGV, Port Soif and College Field. Details will follow shortly of the tournament website that will allow you to see where and when you can catch a match and also keep up to date with all the results and action.
There is also of course the 'little matter' of the Inter Insular Trohy against Jersey which this year will take place on 21 August at Grainville in Jersey. Following two years of hurt (including the now infamous final day of ECC Div 2) Guernsey ran out winners again in 2009 and will be defending the Trophy in Jersey. Anyone looking to go across and support the boys should contact GCB (mark@guernseycricket.com) who will be arranging transport again with Condor Ferries.
Due to the very social nature of the Island, the Barclays Wealth Evening League continues to be very popular with 40 teams competing this season across 5 Divisions. In addition this year there is the exciting addition of the Barclays Wealth ELT20 being contested for by the four WL sides in a T20 format for the first time on grass wickets. Games will be played on Monday nights starting on 24 May at KGV and Port Soif so get yourself down there to join in all the fun! There is also the Wave Telecom Weekend League cricket scene in the form of a 1stXI Championship and also the Wave Telecom GCA Bowl. Weekend League cricket is now being played primarily on grass improving standards in the purest form of cricket.
2010 sees the expanded CI Club Championship roll into it's second year with 5 teams from Guernsey competing against 6 from Jersey across weekends from April through to September. Optimus from Jersey are the defending champions.
