KIRK SLAYS GRIFFINS

YOUNG Tom Kirk smashed five sixes and five fours as he and Adam Martel made mincemeat of the Goldridge Griffins bowling at Port Soif.

Chasing a target of 127 in 16 overs, the Rovers openers smashed their way to their target in just 14.2 overs with Kirk finishing undefeated on 80, Adam Martel on 41.

They got their side off to a dream start when between them they took 18 of Mitchell Le Tissier’s first over.

Earlier Le Tissier, who moved to Griffins from Rovers in the close season, had score a 27-ball 30
